You might have heard that we just completed the sale of our business to Trend Micro.

Back in the January of 2007, I’d been retired for 6 months after deciding to leave web hosting behind and travel the world. Canada is a beautiful country but in January, it’s cold and wet. There’s only so much you can do in Quebec when it’s raining and after a some weeks, things became desperate, there was nothing left to do but come out of retirement! So humyo was born on a wet Wednesday in a Montreal hotel.

At humyo we like to keep things simple, so in an effort to give new users access to all features from the word go, we now populate new users account with a wide range of sample files.

The purpose of this is to give new humyo users the opportunity to get to grips with the “ins and outs” of humyo without the need to upload anything straight away. There are a couple of MP3’s for you to stream on your mobile, a few movies to watch on the Media Player and a nice welcome guide to walk your through your first steps with humyo.

We hope that these sample files will help new users discover some of the features beyond our secure backup synchronisation solution and show the true potential of online storage.

For anyone interested in viewing the welcome guide, you can do so here.
